There’s no better way to experience the Autumn colors of New York’s Hudson Valley region than at the Storm King Art Center. It’s also just 1.5 hours away by train (and the same by car), making it one of my favorite fall-time day trips from NYC.
About Storm King Art Center
The Storm King Art Center is an outdoor museum in the town of Cornwall, NY, and has been around since 1960. It’s 500-acres are dotted with larger-than-life sculptures and site-specific commissioned pieces that play off of the surrounding landscape. It’s spectacular any time of year, but Autumn adds a rich backdrop of orange that compliment the bright red and rusty brown tones of the sculptures.
