When I started The Postcard, I was mostly writing for the version of myself who loved crafting the perfect itinerary filled with long walking tours, local cuisine, and the small details that make travel feel magical.
Then I had kids.
Travel hasn’t stopped, but it has definitely changed shape. The big, multi-stop itineraries are now simpler. The packing lists grew. “Where should we go?” turned into “Where can we go with a stroller, a toddler who only eats pasta, and a baby who naps twice a day?”
Out of that question, a new project was born: GoBebop, a simple, map‑based guide to kid‑friendly places that makes it easier for families with young kids to explore their town or city.
Instead of scrolling through countless blog posts, parenting Facebook groups, or old TripAdvisor threads, you can open one map and quickly see playgrounds, cafes, museums and other spots that actually work with children in tow – filtered by age, weather, and other practical details parents really care about.
If The Postcard is about designing trips that feel good, GoBebop is about designing everyday adventures at home.
We’re starting local, focused on places in and around our home city of Amsterdam for now, with plans to eventually expand to other cities across Europe.
So if you’re based in (or visiting) Amsterdam with kids, you can explore GoBebop here: www.gobebop.app
And if you know a parent who’s forever asking “where should we go today?”, feel free to pass it along!
